Why can't I format LUN on VMware?
This would be caused by the 4K disks; VMware doesn’t support the 4K disk, which means doesn’t support 4K LUN at this moment. If user creates the Pool and LUN with 4K disks, the VMware can detect this 4K LUN. But if the user tries to format the 4K LUN for Datastore purpose, the VMware will report error message.
